Creative Wellbeing Workshops with Horatios Garden

Creative Wellbeing Workshops with Horatios Garden at Salisbury Hospital

Over the last year, I’ve been working with Horatios Garden to facilitate creative wellbeing workshops at Salisbury Hospital. Horatio’s Garden nurtures the wellbeing of people after spinal injury in beautiful, vibrant sanctuaries within the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. Leading designers create the accessible gardens where the charity’s team, alongside volunteers and creatives, care for people and plants alike.

In our creative workshops we have explored taking inspiration from nature and the garden and exploring it with a range of materials from working expressively with gouache paints to capture texture, depth and form, working with watercolours, inks, pencils and brush pens…

Each of the 4-hour sessions is run with the intent of making creativity accessible to everyone, the sessions are relaxed, and welcoming and invite patients to explore their creativity with a range of materials, ideas and gorgeous inspiration from the beautiful gardens.

I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Horatios Garden on a range of seasonal creative wellbeing workshops over the next year…
