Window mural for ASK Italian

I was delighted to be commissioned to design and illustrate a festive window mural for ASK Italian to celebrate the Christmas season this year in my local City of Winchester.

On planning the mural, I took a trip down to ASK to have a look at the space that I would be working with for the illustration piece, I took a few photos and spoke to the team about how they wanted the ideas to work before heading back to my studio to get to work on a draft idea. Taking inspiration from the brand guidelines which included town houses, stars, sparkle and love, I wanted to draw on the housing element to create the base for my scene before adding my own personal touch with some nature elements alongside the sparkle and magic.

The design was approved by the team and I headed to ASK Winchester on a chilly morning with a bag full of Posca Pens to create this double window festive scene full of magical houses, festive foliage, stars and a few hearts thrown in for a little love.

I really enjoyed working on this mural, it was great to be given such creative freedom and add my own personal style to the piece and I’m delighted with how the final mural came out! If you want to see more of the process you can have a peek at the reel I made.
