I was delighted to be asked to share an extract from my book Modern Brush Lettering with the Planet Mindful team this month.

I’m really missing teaching in person workshops & seeing lots of lovely faces learning together so I have decided to run a few live painting workshops. Join me online next month and learn how to paint loose watercolour florals to paint your own bouquets, we will be working through some colour exercises, floral exercises and the step by step together painting the bouquets.

I thought I’d share a bit more about the book here so you know what to expect & how you’ll be able to use the book to help you become confident with working with paints and combining them with other crafts.

Whenever I mention Nature Journaling on Instagram I always get lots of replies asking what it is and how to do it so I thought I’d share some tips for creating your own nature journal to embrace the seasons and celebrate them. First of all I’d suggest gathering what you have to work with, there’s no need to rush out and buy lots of materials, any paints, coloured pencils, chalks, pens ect you have will do the job plus there is no right or wrong way to journal. I like to use a mix of materials but find what works for you as you experiment.

Very excited to share the cover of my second book Paint, Make, Create. I began working on this in February 2020 and it was a big project that got me through the first lockdown, I threw myself into planning, writing, making, styling and shooting the step by steps for the book in those first few months of 2020 and we managed to squeeze 3 shoot days in late May so I’m so excited it’s finally ready to share with you all now.
